1.75 linear feet (four upright document boxes) manuscript materials which include original and copy articles, bibliographies, chapter outlines and drafts, class papers, correspondence, discographies, dissertation proposal, notes, and manuscripts, programs, ephemera, interview transcripts, obituaries, radio station information, recording liner notes, a script, and song lyrics. The materials constitute McLean's research for her dissertation on the life and music of Red Rector, and the final draft of her dissertation. Also included are tapes of interviews that she conducted with various people, including Rector.
